This Deliverable describes the pilot experiments of COALA Project. Participatory evaluation of the COALA services jointly with farm-level users, district-level water managers and other industry stakeholders is the core element of the project. The corresponding activities are assembled in WP4, which is closely interrelated with WP1 (co-creation), WP2 (COALA product adaptation and calibration/validation), and WP3 (COALA API development for Australian business partners). The principal objective is here to evaluate in a participatory process the use and performance of the COALA services (crop water status, crop water demand, crop water use – ET, crop canopy nitrogen status, variable fertilisation rate, crop yield) in our four pilot areas across the states of Victoria and New South Wales, Australia.
